1. principles
The granting of subsidies and grants to support the work of local choral and instrumental clubs, local committees and other local clubs, associations and initiatives (with the exception of sports clubs) is one of the decision-making rights of the Bad Godesberg district council in accordance with Section 7 (2) (o) of the district constitution of the City of Bonn (Bonn district constitution).
It is the aim of the Bad Godesberg district council to revitalize and promote the work of clubs and other associations for the preservation of local history and customs. When awarding grants, the Bad Godesberg district council feels particularly committed to the goals and demands of an inclusive Bonn - as formulated, for example, in the council resolution of July 8, 2010 (DS no. 1010622AA7).
2. scope and conditions of funding
The guidelines apply to all voluntary singing and instrumental clubs, to clubs and associations for the preservation of local traditions and customs, to local aid organizations, to the decorating of Christmas trees in the district by Bad Godesberg schools and to the granting of subsidies for club anniversaries.
The granting of subsidies is a voluntary service. It is only granted on application within the framework of the available budget funds. There is no legal entitlement.
Grants are awarded to clubs, associations and initiatives that are based in the Bad Godesberg district and whose activities take place predominantly in the Bad Godesberg district. Grants are awarded in the form of lump sums.
Grants under these guidelines will only be awarded if a fully completed written application has been submitted.
In individual cases and on special occasions such as club anniversaries (25, 50, 75, 100, etc. years), the Bad Godesberg district council may deviate from these guidelines for justified reasons.

4th procedure
Applications for benefits under these guidelines must be submitted in writing to the Bad Godesberg district administration office by September 30 for the current year, together with the required documents.
After the application deadline, the administration submits an overview to the district council for a resolution on the amount of the grant. The amount of the grant depends, among other things, on the activity of the association.
5. use of funds
A grant may only be used for the approved purpose.
If the approved grant amounts to EUR 500 or more, the applicant undertakes to submit an auditable proof of use by January 31 of the year following the granting of the grant, to allow the cash management to be inspected and to allow the use of the funds to be checked on site.
The Bad Godesberg district administration office reserves the right to request proof of use at random, even for grants of less than EUR 500.
The City of Bonn may reclaim all or part of the grants awarded - even retrospectively - if the provisions of these guidelines are culpably violated and/or decisive changes to the association's statutes are not reported.
6. final provisions
All of the aforementioned regulations and deadlines apply subject to the approval of the budget and the release of funds by the treasurer.
These guidelines were adopted by the Bad Godesberg district council on October 24, 2012. They come into force on October 24, 2012. At the same time, all previous regulations on the granting of subsidies to clubs and other associations for the promotion of local history and customs as well as singing and instrumental clubs in the Bad Godesberg district will cease to apply. These guidelines were updated with regard to an increase in the maximum funding amount for the FAGK from EUR 6,000 to EUR 9,000 at the meeting of the district council on March 1, 2023 (DS: DS 221687-42 AA). The other provisions and regulations remain unaffected.
