Personnel and Organization Office

Description

The Personnel and Organization Office, which has around 190 employees, is a cross-sectional office that supports the specialist departments in providing their services. From recruitment and hiring to retirement, the Human Resources Office is responsible for all matters relating to the approximately 7,000 employees of the Bonn City Administration. A particular focus is increasingly on retaining employees at Bonn City Council as an attractive employer. The main instruments here are high-quality training, systematic personnel development and company health management.

The Office's organizational division supports the administration's managers in the organizational development of their fields of work. Administrative processes are systematically examined and adapted with the aim of continuous improvement. The digitalization of processes is an increasingly relevant topic. The office's IT department is an important and responsible partner in the digitalization of administrative processes. It is responsible for the secure operation of the entire municipal IT infrastructure and the IT application landscape.

The office's "Central Services" department is responsible for providing the administration with office space and workstations. The administrative print shop and the city administration's mailroom are therefore also located in this department. The management of the municipal vehicle fleet and the introduction of a company mobility management system are another important task of the department.
