Help on site: Specialist services for family and educational support (FFE)
If something goes wrong in a family, for example if parents are worried about a child's development or feel overwhelmed with parenting, the specialist service for family and educational support and psychological advice centers provide parents with advice.
Seven teams provide on-site advice in the various districts.
Children and young people can also contact the social services without their parents if they find themselves in a conflict or emergency situation or simply want to get advice. The parents will only be informed of such a meeting if the children and young people agree to it.
Frequently asked questions
The FFE offers answers here
If I have problems at home, do I always have to go to a care home?
No, there are many other offers of help. A care home is actually the last option. We can also work with you and your family to try to solve the problems you have together.
Will the conversation be passed on to my parents?
If you want the conversation to stay between us, we won't pass anything on. However, if you need further help, we will also need to talk to your parents. What we pass on to your parents will be discussed with you beforehand.
Can I also contact the specialist services at night if I am in trouble?
At night and at weekends, you can turn to the youth protection center in really bad situations. There you will be given a bed and something to eat and have someone to talk to:
- Mondays to Thursdays from 4 p.m.
- Fridays from 1 p.m.
- Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays all day
Can I come before it gets really bad?
Yes, you can also come to us beforehand. We will be happy to advise you. And maybe we can tell you what you, your family or we can do to change something or help you.
How can the specialist services help me?
We realize that this is the most important question for you. But there are far too many possibilities to write them all down here. The most important thing is that you come to us and tell us about your problems and difficulties. We will then consider together with you, and then perhaps together with your parents, how you can be helped.
How do I find the right specialist service office for me?
