Federal election

On Sunday, February 23, 2025, the early election to the 21st German Bundestag took place.

The Bonn result of the Bundestag election:

Of the 228,194 eligible voters in the federal city, a total of 193,699 cast their vote - this corresponds to a voter turnout of 84.88%.

Dr. Hendrik Streeck from the CDU won the Bonn direct mandate with 33.31% of the first votes. Jessica Rosenthal (SPD) received 21.64% of the first votes, Katrin Uhlig (GRÜNE) 24.38%, Anna Heimann (FDP) 2.47%, Wolfgang Truckenbrodt (AfD) 8.17%, Jürgen Repschläger (DIE LINKE) 7.69%, Thomas Peter (Volt) 1.57%, Robert Viebahn (Freie Wähler) 0.49% and Fosi Audi (PdF) 0.28%.

The CDU was also the strongest force in the second votes with 26.16 percent. The SPD received 17.68% and the Greens 22.90%. The FDP received 5.19 percent, the AfD 8.92 percent, DIE LINKE 12.45 percent, DIE PARTEI 0.46 percent and Volt 1.11 percent; others 5.15 percent.

The German Bundestag, the parliament of the Federal Republic of Germany, consists of representatives of the German people who are elected by direct, free, equal and secret ballot for a four-year term.

The City of Bonn is constituency 95 Bonn out of a total of 299 constituencies in Germany.
