The Department of Planning, Environment and Transport is responsible for six specialist departments and is affiliated with the Bonn-Orange municipal cleaning and waste management company. The department is also in close contact with Bonn's public utilities. Such a variety of different tasks, which often have to be bundled and coordinated between different departments, requires a central office to take on this coordination. All your letters and citizens' applications relating to the department's specialist services that are addressed to the Mayor of Bonn or the City Planning Officer, as well as applications and tasks formulated by city society or the Council, are forwarded by the staff unit to the right departments and discussed and summarized where necessary. Department-related concerns from institutions, companies, associations, clubs or the press are also dealt with in the staff unit with the involvement of the specialist departments. Last but not least, strategic concepts are prepared here and the implementation of important projects is managed.
