Bad Godesberg design and advertising statutes

The aim of the "Design and Advertising Statutes for the Bad Godesberg District Center" is to protect and improve the appearance of the Bad Godesberg district center.

At its meeting in June 2018, the Bonn City Council decided to extend the design and advertising statutes for the Bad Godesberg district center. The bylaws came into force with the public announcement in the Amtsblatt of the City of Bonn on June 27, 2018.

Status and objective of the Articles of Association

The aim of these bylaws is to protect and improve the appearance of the Bad Godesberg district center.

To this end, the bylaws include regulations for the design of buildings, the design and size of advertising structures as well as the design and scope of special uses of public space, such as outdoor catering or merchandise stands. This creates uniform, comprehensible and transparent criteria for the corresponding approval decisions.

At its meeting on June 7, 2018, the Bonn City Council decided to adjust the criteria for merchandise displays, awnings and so-called "customer stoppers". The adjustments result from the evaluation of the initially temporary statutes (April 2017 to June 2018). The bylaws will be amended in 2022 in cooperation between the administration and the city center consultation group. This is made up of representatives of the tradespeople and their associations in Bad Godesberg's city center as well as the administration.
