The costs for this project amount to 2.77 million euros, of which one million euros is already being funded by the "Adaptation of urban spaces to climate change" program. Construction is scheduled to start at the end of 2025.
Kölnstraße between Wilhelmsplatz and Bertha-von-Suttner-Platz is to be upgraded in terms of design and function in order to improve the quality of life and promote retail. These measures will be combined with the renovation of Stiftsplatz. Construction work is set to begin in mid-2026. The total costs amount to 3.22 million euros.
Finally, Rheingasse, the central link between the city center and the Rhine, will also be upgraded. In particular, attractive pathways are to be created here. The implementation period has not yet been determined, the costs are estimated at 1.2 million euros.
