Opinions of employers

Daniel Euler

Daniel Euler, Strategic Mobility Planning and Climate Change Prevention Unit, City of Troisdorf

"Jobwärts works - through the Jobwärts program, we were able to see a positive development in mobility behavior in the city of Troisdorf and raise awareness of the issue with the campaign material. The 2024 impact measurement shows - we are making a difference!"

Dr. Olga Nevska

Dr. Olga Nevska, Managing Director Telekom MobilitySolutions

"Sustainable employee mobility is the core task of Telekom MobilitySolutions. As a pioneer in Bonn, we look forward to inspiring other employers in the region to do the same."

Opinions of employees

Annkristin Ermel

Annkristin Ermel, German Academic Exchange Service

"My 13 km journey to work only takes me about 5 minutes longer than by car through rush hour traffic. I arrive at work much more relaxed and am happy about the healthy balance."

Dr. Wolfram Frings

Dr. Wolfram Frings, GFO Clinics Bonn

"I've had a work bike for a year now and all my journeys are done by bike. In 2019, that was 4000 kilometers. And I'd rather cycle home than struggle through Bonn's rush-hour traffic by car.

Apart from that, I can get from Marien-Hospital to the Beuel side of the Rhine much faster by bike, 12 minutes, whereas it can take me 30 minutes or more by car."

Dirk Meier

Dirk Meier, Telekom

"When it comes to climate and environmental protection, I start with myself. I live in urban Bonn and can easily commute to the office sustainably instead of by car. Either by e-bike or on foot in combination with bus and train. Both are (usually) fun and good for you. Not only for the climate and the environment, but also for my own health.

So, if it's possible for you, let's go: On the saddle, get set, go! and/or switch to a job ticket."

Ulrike Gärtner

Ulrike Gärtner, University Hospital Bonn

"Regarding my newly purchased cargo bike, it was the best investment I've made in a long time. I only use my car very rarely, so I save a lot on fuel costs.

My two-year-old son is also really enthusiastic about cycling. I sometimes had difficulties getting him into the car at all. These worries are now gone and the eternal search for a parking space at the UKB is now history.

I also think it's great that the state of NRW is subsidizing the whole thing and that my employer has also supported me, as the cargo bike is a bit expensive."
