The fees for grave usage rights are generally decreasing. Compared to the previous year, a grave for a coffin with a minimum term of 15 years costs 1,273 euros instead of 1,449 euros, an urn grave 1,037 euros instead of 1,164 euros. Burials will also be cheaper. The fee for a coffin burial will fall from 958 euros to 842 euros, for an urn burial from 271 euros to 252 euros.
The fees for administrative services also had to be adjusted, mainly due to wage developments. This affects, for example, the processing of applications for the reallocation or renewal of grave usage rights as well as the issuing of certificates and permits. For example, the new allocation of a right of use will cost 133 euros instead of 108 euros in the new calendar year.
The new fee schedule will apply from Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
This is why the fees fluctuate
The City Council instructs the administration to cover the costs of cemetery and burial services through fees. However, the demand for burials and the costs for land, personnel and materials are constantly changing. The administration therefore redefines the scale of fees annually. The basis for the recalculation is the data from previous years. The fees can therefore vary from year to year and from municipality to municipality.
