In June 2024, the center management for the Hardtberg was commissioned: Because the strengthening of inner cities and local centers as multifunctional places is and remains of particular importance for the urban development policy of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, the state government of North Rhine-Westphalia had provided further funding of 35 million euros to support measures to strengthen inner cities. The city of Bonn has received a grant of €120,000 for center management in the Hardtberg district center until the end of November 2026. This sum corresponds to 80 percent of the total eligible costs of €150,000.

This was preceded by the initiation of a center management program as part of the "Immediate action program to strengthen our inner cities and centers in North Rhine-Westphalia". Under the moderation of center manager Sophie Büchner, numerous network meetings were held with tradespeople - including on the topics of "safety and cleanliness", "living Advent calendars" and other activities in the run-up to Christmas, as well as presentations and workshops on the design of shop windows. This center management expired at the end of 2023.

With its more than one hundred members, the Hardtberg business and trade association works to make the location more attractive, which it would like to further develop with the help of the local festival committee, the district council and the stakeholders.

A shopping guide and regular events, such as the trade show and events at Easter and Christmas, are part of its repertoire.
