Traveling exhibition on the cable car - first stop in the City Hall
A traveling exhibition toured the city to inform Bonn residents about the cable car project and all the planning steps.
It was on display at in the City Hall foyer in August 2022. It was then shown at the University Hospital and at the VHS branch in Bad Godesberg. It will later also be shown in Beuel and Hardtberg.
Eleven posters explain the need, the planned route, the further procedure and other aspects of the project. Visitors to the exhibition can get an idea of the planning and also make suggestions for the project.
Some of the suggestions received so far from citizens and an explanation of the participation process are summarized on an information poster at the exhibition on the cable car.
Info market in April 2022
3,000 interested people attended the "Cable car information market" organized by the city in Münsterplatz in April 2022. The city's project team, supporters from urban society such as the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK), the University Hospital (UKB) and several environmental and transport associations such as the Bund für Umwelt- und Naturschutz (BUND) and Verkehrsclub Deutschland (VCD) presented their arguments. The initiative, which opposes the cable car, also presented its points of criticism. Details can be found in the documentation.
Citizens' influence on planning
The people of Bonn were invited to join in the discussion back in 2016 to accompany the publication of the feasibility study. Current findings from the feasibility study were presented, discussed and jointly evaluated at three open events. The results of the discussions at the events were fed back and taken into account in further planning.

New perspectives - also in citizen participation
The city administration will keep Bonn residents regularly informed about project progress and opportunities for participation as the planning approval procedure progresses. In the course of the upcoming project steps, which will lead to a planning approval procedure, the city will also engage in an in-depth exchange with local residents.
