1. structure
The Ludwig van Beethoven Music School in Bonn offers
- Lessons in basic subjects (e.g. parent-child courses, early musical education and basic musical training)
- Instrumental and vocal lessons individually and in groups
- Supplementary lessons (ensemble subjects, music theory; music, movement, dance)
The Ludwig van Beethoven Music School in Bonn organizes additional music lessons as required within the scope of its possibilities.
2nd school year
2.1
The school year of the Ludwig van Beethoven Music School Bonn begins on August 1 and ends on July 31 of the following year.
2.2
The vacation and public vacation regulations of the public general education schools also apply to the Ludwig van Beethoven Music School Bonn. The Ludwig van Beethoven Music School Bonn determines the floating vacations at the beginning of the school year.
3. recording
Applications must be made in writing to the administration of the Ludwig van Beethoven Music School Bonn using the form provided. There is no entitlement to admission. Underage participants must be registered by their legal representatives.
4. termination
4.1
Cancellations in instrumental and vocal individual and group lessons (excluding Nos. 2.1.1 to 2.5.1 fee schedule) are only possible on January 31 and July 31, for all other lessons outside the trial period only at the end of the school year. They must be received by the Ludwig van Beethoven Music School Bonn in writing at least two months in advance. During the trial period, termination is possible with a notice period of two weeks to the end of the month.
This does not affect the right of both the student and the Ludwig van Beethoven Music School Bonn to terminate the contract for good cause.
For the Ludwig van Beethoven Music School Bonn, good cause shall be deemed to exist in particular in the event of repeated unexcused absences from lessons, if the debtor is in arrears with tuition fees of half a year or more, or in the event of repeated inappropriate behavior by students in lessons.
4.2
The termination is subject to the written form requirement.
5. probationary period
5.1
In the basic subjects, the first three months count as a probationary period.
5.2
The first six months of instrumental and vocal lessons in accordance with Nos. 2.1.1 to 2.5.1 of the fee schedule are deemed to be a trial period.
5.3
In cooperations with open all-day schools(No. 2.6 Fee schedule), the first month is considered a trial period.
5.4
In the case of "Every child instruments, dancing, singing" (No. 2.8 fee schedule) in cooperation with elementary school, no trial period is granted for JeKits2 (3rd school year).
5.5
In the event of a change of teacher for which the Ludwig van Beethoven Music School Bonn is solely responsible, a probationary period of one month is granted, i .e. in this particular case a notice period of two weeks to the end of the month is possible.
6. teaching
6.1
When giving lessons, the wishes of the participants or their legal representatives will be taken into account as far as the Ludwig van Beethoven Music School Bonn is able.
6.2
The fees to be paid are based on the fee schedule and fee tariff for the Ludwig van Beethoven Music School Bonn.
6.3
Participants are obliged to attend classes regularly.
6.4
A change of subject, teacher or place of instruction must be requested in writing from the administration. There is no entitlement.
6.5
The presence of parents or legal guardians during lessons must be agreed in advance with the respective teacher.
6.6
Audio and video recordings of teaching events must be approved by the school management. The same applies to such recordings by the press, radio or television in buildings and at events of the Ludwig van Beethoven Music School Bonn.
7. public appearance
Public appearances by participants and entries for competitions and examinations are welcome and should be agreed in advance with the respective subject teacher.
At public music school events (concerts etc.), sound recordings, videos or photos may be made, which may subsequently appear in press reports etc. or on the Ludwig van Beethoven Music School Bonn website.
Participants who do not agree to this can inform the music school administration or their legal guardians before the respective public event. However, the Ludwig van Beethoven Music School Bonn has no influence on newspapers or external reporting at public events.
8. benefits
8.1
In the case of participants who do not make adequate progress due to a lack of cooperation or a lack of aptitude, the school management may terminate the teaching relationship with two weeks' notice to the end of the month at the request of the subject teacher after consulting the head of department.
8.2
Fees already paid for the period after the end of the course will be refunded.
9. supplementary subjects
9.1
All participants in instrumental or vocal main subject lessons should also take part in supplementary lessons if possible.
9.2
The assignment to supplementary lessons is made by the main subject teacher, taking into account the participant's level of education and interest.
9.3
All participants should participate in events organized by the Ludwig van Beethoven Music School Bonn in connection with their lessons wherever possible.
10. instruments
In principle, participants must own an instrument at the start of lessons. Instruments can be rented for a fee from the Ludwig van Beethoven Music School Bonn. Further details can be found in the scale of fees and the tariff of fees for the Ludwig van Beethoven Music School Bonn.
11. supervision
Supervision is only provided during lessons.
12. possibility of revocation
Pupils or their legal guardians have the right to withdraw from the contract within fourteen days without giving reasons. The revocation period is fourteen days from the date of receipt of the application by the Ludwig van Beethoven Music School Bonn.
The revocation is only effective if it is received in writing by the Ludwig van Beethoven Music School Bonn, Kurfürstenallee 8, 53142 Bonn, musikschulebonnde fax 0228 - 77 45 69, within the aforementioned revocation period. A revocation is excluded if the lessons have already begun during the revocation period.
In the event of an effective revocation, all payments, with the exception of the registration fee, will be refunded from the day on which the Ludwig van Beethoven Music School Bonn receives notification of the revocation.
13. entry into force
The amended school regulations enter into force on August 1, 2019. It replaces the previously valid school regulations dated August 1, 2018.
