With this approach, the city leadership is reacting to the deficits in the designation of the new cycle lanes. "Where work is done, mistakes are made," emphasizes Mayor Katja Dörner. "I continue to have full confidence in the employees of the city administration. However, mistakes show where things are not running optimally. We are taking this as an opportunity to review the processes and organization and analyse which structures can be improved."

The topic of mobility/transport is currently spread across several specialist areas in different departments. One of the aims of the analysis is to reduce the coordination effort and duration, minimize the interfaces between the departments involved and establish clear responsibility for results. The internal administrative study is also intended to identify measures to optimize and accelerate projects in the area of mobility/transport.
