With this reception, the city traditionally thanks the prince couples, royalty, children's prince couples and representatives of the festival committees on behalf of all carnivalists for their voluntary commitment to Bönn customs. Mayor Katja Dörner: "Many thanks to all those who work tirelessly in front of and behind the scenes in the Bönnsche Fastelovend - our customs thrive on this commitment, which has also been demonstrated in this session. These people helped to ensure that the city could celebrate together in a cheerful, safe, colorful and tolerant manner," said Katja Dörner, alluding to the motto of the 2024/2025 session.
The "Dilledöppchen" dance group was founded back in 1981. After a long break, the dancers started up again in 2012 under the new name "Dilledöppchen aus dem Liküra Staat". Club chairwoman and former LiKüRa princess Jenny Dapprich accepted the award on behalf of the group. In addition to many dance performances during the session, the "Dilledöppche" are also present in the LiKüRa procession and accompany the LiKüRa princess every three years as part of the team.
Since 1993, people from Bonn who are particularly committed to the Bonn Carnival have been awarded the "Foolish Lion of the City of Bonn" at a reception on Carnival Tuesday every session. The Beuel Weiberfastnacht working group and the festival committees from Bonn, Bad Godesberg and LiKüRa make a proposal each year. The winners receive a plush lion from the internationally active "World Wide Fund For Nature". This is accompanied by a donation to the nature conservation organization.
