The registered households are on the road for a week and can try out different mobility options. The aim is to replace their own car with sustainable alternatives wherever possible. In addition to Deutschlandtickets, Stadtwerke is also making its bike-sharing fleet and Clara scooters available for this purpose. The car sharing providers Cambio and Grüne Flotte are also supporting the project by waiving the registration fee.
"Needs are very different depending on life situations. Before the test week, we therefore work with the households to analyze their mobility requirements," explains Martin Weiser, mobility consultant at the ADFC. The aim is to find the right mobility offer in each case. "Of course, we also advise the participants during the campaign week, as the offers are individually tailored to the people and their realities, including couples, flat-sharing communities and families with children."
"With the test weeks, we want to make sustainable mobility a direct and tangible experience and show the many ways in which people can already be mobile in Bonn today - whether for commuting to work or school, shopping or meeting up with friends," adds Denis Bischof, Head of Business Development at SWB Bus und Bahn. Participants can get to know alternative forms of mobility that they have not yet considered.
Following the test weeks, there will be a joint discussion between all participants. The results will also be included in the results and evaluation report of the Bönnsche Viertel participatory process, which will end in September with the European Mobility Week.
