Public participation for office campus on Pützchens Chaussee

GbR Pützchens Chaussee, the owner of the approximately two-hectare site between Pützchens Chaussee, Röhfeldstrasse and Pfaffenweg in the Beuel district, is planning to construct several office buildings.

On April 18, 2024, the Bonn City Council decided on early public participation for the project-related development plan no. 6822-1. The plan will be published for two weeks in the City Hall, Beuel Town Hall and on the city's participation platform www.bonn-macht-mit.de. More detailed information on the time and place will be published shortly.

The site is located between mixed-use areas with residential buildings to the north and west and the Beuel-Ost commercial and industrial area to the south and east. An office building has already been approved and built on the corner of Pützchens Chaussee/Röhfeldstraße. This structure is to be supplemented by four further office buildings with four to five floors and a floor area of just under 23,000 square meters. Photovoltaic systems in combination with extensive green roofs are planned for the roofs of the upper floors, while the roof areas of the lower floors will be available as intensively greened roof terraces. Overall, a green office campus with a high quality of stay for employees is planned.

This office campus is planned to be largely car-free above ground. The necessary parking spaces are to be accommodated in an underground parking garage - with access via Röhfeldstraße and exit to Pützchens Chaussee. Recesses in the underground car park below the central square will also allow large-crowned trees to be planted here. The existing trees along the street will be preserved as far as possible and the rows of trees will be supplemented by planting additional trees.

In the opinion of the city administration, the construction project makes a contribution to sustainable urban development, as the area will not only be significantly intensified in terms of use but will also be upgraded in terms of urban development and high-quality green and open spaces will be created with the implementation of the open space concept.
