More than 2,000 citizens who live directly on the planned route and at the stations were randomly invited by Mayor Katja Dörner. Due to the high response to the invitation letter, the city administration decided at short notice to significantly expand the offer.
The initial aim of the stakeholder forum was to give a total of 120 people the opportunity to engage in in-depth discussions with experts on various aspects of the cable car. Now, two groups of around 150 citizens each will be able to take part in the planned residents' forum on April 27. The first group will be able to discuss the cable car with the experts at lunchtime and the second group in the afternoon. The aim is to give as many of those who have registered for the event as possible the opportunity to take part.
The exact time on the day of the event will be sent to the participants.
The cable car project
The cable car in Bonn - from Venusberg on the left bank of the Rhine over the Rhine to Beuel on the right bank of the Rhine - would be the first urban cable car in Germany to be integrated into the public transport system and can be used with a normal local transport ticket such as the Deutschlandticket. The project is being jointly managed by the City of Bonn and Stadtwerke Bonn.
