Under the title "How to ...", the Cultural Office of the City of Bonn offers a series of information and training courses for Bonn artists. The aim is to offer free seminars to those involved in the independent scene that meet the current needs of the target group.
The coronavirus pandemic, the resulting applications, feedback from the independent scene and experience from day-to-day business at the Department of Culture show that there are various training needs and wishes among those involved in the independent cultural scene. Existing training courses are often subject to a fee and therefore cannot always be taken up by potentially interested parties.
The Cultural Office cooperates with various partners and offers participation in the seminars free of charge.
Target group, registration and procedure
The target group of the pilot project includes freelance, professional artists and cultural actors as well as employees or operators of (smaller) cultural institutions. The prerequisite for participation is a residence in Bonn or an institution based in Bonn.
Binding registrations for the seminars are mandatory and must be sent to kulturprojektebonnde with full contact details. Participation will be confirmed in writing; places will be allocated in the order in which registrations are received.
The seminars are generally held in person and are also intended to help network the scene within the city.
