Overview
This year, the historic parade will once again parade through the Pützchens Markt festival grounds with historic showmen's tractors, flag delegations from the nationwide showmen's associations, traditional foot groups and floats from Beuel clubs, as well as music bands.
As every year, the destination will be the Bayernfesthalle, where the event will be opened with the traditional barrel tapping.
The following are invited to take part in the parade
- Groups who feel connected to the customs of Beuel and the traditional event and would like to contribute to the attractiveness of the parade, as well as
- Showmen with historical vehicles, typical fairground equipment and decorations.

Participating foot groups should consist of at least 10 people and present themselves in uniform clothing.

Alternatively, the registration documents can also be requested by telephone from the Beuel district administration office on 0228/ 77 49 15.
If you are interested in participating, please send your registration, including the required attachments, to the Bezirksverwaltungsstelle Beuel, Rathaus Beuel, Friedrich-Breuer-Straße 65, 53225 Bonn by 15.07.2024 at the latest.
Registrations received after this date can unfortunately no longer be considered, as the procession, including all necessary barrier measures, must be applied for in good time with the road traffic authorities.

The procession leader will be in the assembly area until the start of the procession and during the procession
at the top of the train. He can be contacted during the procession via the fire department's command vehicle or via the train organizers equipped with radiotelephones.
Person responsible for the participating group:
For each participating group, a responsible person with name, address and mobile number must be registered in writing when registering for the procession. This person must be present with the group during the procession and must ensure that the procession rules are observed and that the instructions of the organizer, the procession leader, the procession stewards and the police are followed. If the aforementioned responsible person is unable to attend, a replacement must be named to the procession leader by the start of the procession at the latest.
Order and sequence of the procession
Line-up:
- You will receive the procession line-up approximately one week before the date of the parade. Any changes at short notice will be communicated by the procession leader on site.
- Access route to the line-up area: exclusively via Pützchens Chaussee into Holtorfer Straße at Phoenix Sportcenter (house number 202).
- The set-up area may not be approached by vehicles, tractors or trailers via the fairground.
- The instructions of the organizer, the procession leader, the procession stewards, the police and other deployed forces must be followed.
- WC facilities are available to participants within walking distance at the intersection of Sebastianusstraße and Pützchens Chaussee. Urinating in the open is prohibited.

Timing:
- From 12:30 p.m., the line-up will take place on the grounds of the Maxrath-Halle, Holtorfer Str. 25, as well as on Holtorfer Straße between Maarstraße and Pützchens Chaussee in 53229 Bonn-Pützchen
- The procession starts punctually at 13:30.
- The float of the guests of honor is expected to arrive at the Bayern-Festhalle at around 2:45 pm.
Resolution:
- The procession moves past the Bayern tent around the corner to the right. In order to ensure a smooth disbanding of the procession, leaving the floats and/or disbanding the foot groups is only permitted here.
- Vehicles, tractors or trailers may not be driven back to the halls or parking lots via the fairground.
- Return journey to the Maxrath Hall: Marktstraße - Am Weidenbach - Holzlarer Weg - Glücksstraße -Teufelsbachweg - Alaunbachweg - Pützchens Chaussee - Holtorfer Straße

- It is not permitted to stop on the roads or to park vehicles, tractors and trailers there.
- The return to the halls must be completed by 16:30.
Train number:
- Each participating group will receive its train number in duplicate together with the train formation. These train numbers must be attached to the right and left at the front of the first vehicle or, in the case of foot groups, at the beginning of the group.
- The procession number of each group must be clearly recognizable not only for the procession organizers, but also for the commentators.
Safety for parade participants and spectators
Vehicles:
- From the beginning to the end of the procession, the floats must be secured technically and by personnel in such a way as to prevent any danger to spectators.
- The person who brings the vehicles into circulation or carries them in the procession is solely responsible for the road safety and the technically perfect condition of the vehicles of all types.
- The carriages must have the necessary safety devices for the persons on the carriage and stable anchoring of the carriage superstructures.
- The side coverings including wheel covers (decoration) of the floats must extend up to 20 cm above the ground.
- The vehicles must be loaded in such a way that an even load on the axles is guaranteed and neither the permissible total weight nor the permissible axle loads in accordance with § 34 StVZO are exceeded.
- The maximum number of persons stated in the certificate must be strictly adhered to. For vehicles without an expert opinion, an average weight of 80 kg per person must be assumed for the approximate calculation of the load as a precaution.
- Vehicles may not exceed a maximum speed of 25 km/h when approaching and leaving the event and a maximum speed of 6 km/h during the parade.
- Spectators, especially children, must be kept away from the vehicles.
- Before each approach of the vehicles, the person responsible for the participating group and the float attendants (float angels) must ensure that the roadway under and around the vehicle is clear of people. Only then can the vehicle be ordered to continue its journey.
- The vehicle drivers must be at least 18 years old and have a driver's license appropriate to the vehicle. This must be presented on request.
- Drivers may not consume alcohol or drugs before or during the train. The use of mobile telephones (except in an emergency), listening to music or other performances with headphones or in-ear headphones and smoking are prohibited during operation.
Carriage attendants (carriage angels):

- The float attendants (float angels) are organized by the organizer. If the organizer is unable to recruit a sufficient number of float angels, the missing float angels must be provided by the participants. In this case, the participants will be informed accordingly by the organizer.
- The wagon attendants (wagon angels) will be announced to the procession leader at the latest before the departure of the procession with the declaration on wheel protection and designation of the escort for the historical procession on the occasion of Pützchens Markt on 08.09.2023. Participation in the procession is not possible without a signed declaration.
- The float attendants (float angels) must be at least 18 years old. Persons who have not yet reached the age of 18 but have already reached the age of 16 may be deployed as an exception if their legal guardians have declared their consent to the activity on an appropriate form.
- The coach attendants (coach angels) must be physically fit, have sufficient German language skills and be recognizable by high-visibility vests.
- Wagon attendants (wagon angels) may not consume alcohol or drugs before or during the train. During their work, any use of cell phones (except in an emergency), listening to music or other performances with headphones or in-ear headphones and smoking are prohibited.
- The float attendants (float angels) must always keep their attention on the audience in order to be able to recognize and act on bottlenecks, disturbances or other obstacles in good time.
- Spectators, especially children, must be kept away from the vehicles.
- Before each approach of the vehicles, the person responsible for the participating group and the float attendants (float angels) must ensure that the roadway under and around the vehicle is clear of people. Only then should the vehicle be ordered to continue its journey.
- The wagon attendants (wagon angels) may not leave their area of responsibility next to the bicycle. Should a wagon attendant (wagon angel) - for whatever reason - have to leave his position, this must be agreed with the person responsible for the participating group or the conductor in the relevant section and the wagon attendant (wagon angel) must be replaced by a suitable substitute.
- If a function is not occupied, the vehicle may not continue its journey.
- During the train, the wagon attendants should always have visual contact with the person in front or behind them and with the driver so that they can intervene in any dangerous situation and bring the wagon to a halt.
- The wagon attendants (wagon angels) must be instructed in their duties by the train manager or a person authorized by the train manager at the latest before the start of the train.
Throwing material:
- Due to the risk of injury, no heavy, sharp-edged or glass objects may be used as throwing material, only harmless, soft materials.
- Strips of paper, scraps of paper, leaflets, beer mats and articles that are likely to contaminate the street beyond normal levels are not permitted.
- Throwing material is to be thrown as far away as possible from the procession in the direction of the spectators. It is not permitted to throw "targeted fire" in order to avoid injury to spectators. It is also not permitted to throw in the direction of windows, even if this is requested by spectators.
- No material may be thrown when the train is stationary or in the set-up area.
- Packaging materials and empty bottles must be disposed of properly at the end of the procession.
- The procession leader and the procession stewards are authorized to carry out random checks of the throwing material.
General information:
- A procession that is torn apart does not present a pretty picture. Therefore, avoid distances of more than 20 meters to the groups in front of you. Also influence the drivers of your vehicles in this respect.
- No pyrotechnic objects may be carried or used.
- Group participants should avoid excessive consumption of alcohol. For vehicle drivers and wagon attendants (wagon angels), the deviating regulations under "Wagons" and "Wagon attendants (wagon angels)" apply.
- Persons who show signs of failure due to physical or other deficiencies (sudden illness, drunkenness, etc.) must be immediately handed over to the medical staff for further care by the person responsible for the participating group.
- In an emergency, the instructions of the police, the procession leader and the procession stewards must be followed.
- If police or rescue and medical service vehicles are deployed, a lane must be cleared immediately.
Exclusion from the procession
- Individual participants or an entire group may be excluded from participating in the procession if they do not comply with the procession regulations, the instructions of the forces deployed or the generally accepted rules of conduct.
