Overview
Commercial wastewater may only be discharged into the municipal sewer system (indirect discharger) if it does not pose a risk to water bodies, the sewer network or sewage treatment plants. The Lower Environmental Authority approves and monitors the discharge of wastewater containing hazardous substances and the construction and operation of wastewater treatment plants.
In addition, special regulations apply to all wastewater discharges, which are regulated in the municipal drainage statutes. The contact for this is the civil engineering office.
