In Maxstraße, for example, there is a spring festival as the grand finale of the spring cleaning in the neighborhood. There are repair cafés in Friesdorf or in the Ermekeilkaserne barracks and the Vilich citizens' association regularly organizes a climate day for the neighbourhood.

Bonn is a city of culture. Why shouldn't this be more visible on the streets? Many things are conceivable here: from a street exhibition to a dance group to a concert with a DJ in the neighborhood. Yes, smaller concerts are also possible, but with a but. When it comes to music in particular, you have to pay attention to noise protection, especially after 10 pm.

There is a clever solution for after 10 p.m.: silent technology. Instead of blasting the whole neighborhood with large loudspeakers and risking a visit from the public order service, everyone listens to the music through headphones. This idea has become increasingly popular in many cities in recent years.

Artists are also offering various ways to bring culture to the streets. For example, the Soundbike - the sounding cargo bike - can be used to easily organize music for an event.

Flea markets are well known in Bonn. Nevertheless, markets and ideas are constantly being added. For some time now, there have been give-and-take markets in Bonn, also known as sharing markets. Sharing, i.e. giving away or passing on items, is becoming more and more popular in Bonn every year. In 2024, for example, a sharing market was held alongside the popular Altstadt flea market during the cherry blossom festival. Not only were items given away, but you could also get to know nice people while listening to good music.

A district-wide flea market is also held in Endenich. Anyone and everyone can set up a mini flea market on private land. A flea market brings the district closer together and gives everyone the chance to get to know their neighborhood a little better.

So there are lots of ideas for markets: Whether as a flea market or a sharing market, whether in a fixed location, spread out in a street or spread across courtyards throughout the neighborhood.
