City library
Bonn City Library provides free access to information, primarily for general orientation, education and entertainment. In addition to lending analog and digital media, it offers numerous services to teach information and media skills, promote reading and encourage lifelong learning, and offers attractive lounges and communication rooms at its nine locations in Bonn.
All media in the city library can be borrowed for an annual fee of 30 euros or a three-month fee of 9 euros. Bonn ID card holders receive a 50 percent discount.
Adult Education Center Bonn
As the city's largest further education institution, the Adult Education Center has 33 full-time employees and around 750 freelance lecturers and offers a wide-ranging educational program with around 2,500 courses per year and around 45,000 teaching hours. In addition to languages, which make up the largest part of the offer, there are, for example, events on political and professional development, lifestyle, health and nutrition, art and culture and education for sustainable development.

Ludwig van Beethoven Music School Bonn
At the Ludwig van Beethoven Music School, you can learn a musical instrument such as the violin, drums or piano, or take singing lessons. The music school also offers various opportunities to make music together, from the choir to the jazz band to the symphony orchestra.
Holders of the Bonn ID card receive a social discount of 50 percent of the tuition fees upon presentation of proof.
Bonn City Museum
The city museum offers a unique collection covering 2000 years of the city's history with a focus on the electoral residence period and innovative exhibitions on the various facets of the city's history. The participatory approach also appeals to a young audience.
The permanent exhibition can be visited free of charge (when it reopens), tickets for special exhibitions cost 2.50 euros, concessions 1.60 euros. Holders of the Bonn ID card receive a 50 percent discount.
Bonn Art Museum
The Kunstmuseum Bonn is a nationally renowned museum for contemporary art.
The Kunstmuseum's collection comprises around 9,000 works and has two central focuses: August Macke and the art of the Rhenish Expressionists on the one hand, and art in Germany after 1945 with a focus on painting, photography and time-based media on the other.
In addition to its own collection, the Kunstmuseum shows internationally oriented temporary exhibitions, which are usually developed from a close connection to the collection.
Holders of the Bonn ID card receive a 50% discount on day tickets, group tickets, annual tickets, painting and art courses and workshops at the Kunstmuseum Bonn.
Beethoven Orchester Bonn
The Beethoven Orchester Bonn (BOB) sees itself as a passionate ambassador for Beethoven - both in the city and around the world.
In addition to working with internationally renowned soloists and stars, the orchestra focuses on developing historical repertoire, intercultural projects and participatory and educational concerts. Unusual concert formats are tested and lively and contemporary ways of communicating artistic content are sought.
Bonn ID card holders receive a discount on the day ticket price in accordance with the guidelines for issuing the Bonn ID card as amended, currently 50 percent.
Theater Bonn
Theater Bonn is a theater for everyone. With opera, drama and dance, it offers a diverse program for all ages at the Schauspielhaus in Bad Godesberg and the Opernhaus. In addition to the productions, children and young people in particular have the opportunity to get to know the theater free of charge in workshops, youth clubs or in the children's and youth choir.
With the Bonn ID card, there is a 50 percent discount on all day ticket prices. Adults pay 5.50 euros in the lowest price category at the opera and 4.50 euros at the theater. At performances for young audiences by PORTAL, where adults pay 12 euros and children 6 euros, people with a Bonn ID card receive a further 50% discount. This means that adults can go to the opera and theater for 6 euros and children for 3 euros. Children and young people up to the age of 16 also pay 8.25 euros for the optional PORTAL subscription (three performances) with a Bonn ID card.
