With the KlimNet project, the Bonn Science Shop, Ruhr University Bochum, the University of Bonn and the City of Bonn have pursued the goal of mobilizing and bundling knowledge and commitment to climate adaptation in the city and region (administration, civil society and university).

Information on the possibilities for adapting to climate change in the region was made available in an attractive way (online with virtual and real citizen science elements), a variety of options for action were developed by the stakeholders themselves in order to achieve common goals for a resilient city and region from different directions, and action-oriented cooperation and methods of knowledge transfer between private and public stakeholders were institutionalized.
