The "Pilot service in paediatric and youth medical practices" is part of the state program "Kinderstark - NRW schafft Chancen". The pilot service offers a low-threshold point of contact for families. The doctors and teams of the participating practices act as "door openers" through their position of trust and provide access to the preventive pilot service.
As a pedagogical specialist, the pilot advises on various topics. By systematically identifying family stress factors and resources, tailor-made support services are provided for each family. If necessary, the families are accompanied personally or supported during a home visit.
Possible topics include
- Parenting issues
- Difficulties at school/daycare
- Lack of childcare
- Dealing with media
- Financial worries
- Problems with friends or family
- Leisure activities
- and much more
Counseling takes place on site at the practice, it is voluntary for parents and children, free of charge and anonymous if desired.
