The 2021/2022 Bonn double budget is available online via the link with all the information you need.

The presentation on the homepage of the interactive budget is divided into two parts. On the left is the menu column, which can be used to select between the different hierarchy levels (product group, organization and target hierarchy) and budget levels (overall budget of the City of Bonn, 17 product areas and associated product groups).

Depending on the selection in the menu column, tables and graphs with the key indicators for the profit plan, investments and key figures appear in the larger area on the right.

If there are explanations for the selected hierarchy level, the files that can be downloaded for explanation appear in the "box" to the right of the selected level (see above). The stored PDF document can be opened by clicking on it.

The presentation of the profit plan consists of five elements:

• a table with the income and expenses for the relevant financial years 2021 and 2022, the medium-term financial planning (2023 to 2025) and the previous financial years with the 2020 budget and the 2018 and 2019 accounting results
• a graph showing the development of income and expenses over time
• a pie chart showing the composition of income and expenses in the relevant financial year (here 2021)
• a bar chart showing the changes in income and expenses in 2021 compared to the previous year's plan by account group
• a bar chart with the "profit contribution" of the underlying areas (product groups at overall budget level)

The arrows appearing in the middle of the table in the profit plan show positive or negative deviations between the relevant financial year (2021) and the previous year (2020), while the arrows appearing on the far right of the table show deviations between the last financial year of the medium-term financial plan (2025) and the relevant financial year (2021). The presentation is in absolute or percentage values, with green arrows always documenting improvements and red arrows documenting deteriorations compared to the estimate (from 5 percent deviation), yellow arrows indicate deviations of less than 5 percent.
