The existing sewer between house number 82 and Rheinallee is being renovated using the closed construction method. To this end, a new manhole will first be built in the area in front of house number 88. In addition, an elevated pipeline made of steel pipes will be installed in the street up to Rheinallee during the construction period for the wastewater transfer.
The sewer work will cause traffic disruptions in Basteistraße. However, traffic can be guided past the construction site.
Background
At the end of July 2023, there was a break-in in Basteistraße at house number 80. The burglary site was sealed in August 2023. During the inspection of the sewer, a damaged area was discovered in the area of the road collapse. In addition, it was determined that the sewer in the Basteistraße area needed to be renovated with a so-called liner - a hose is pulled into the existing sewer.
