The house and pool regulations serve to ensure safety, cleanliness and order in the indoor and outdoor pools of the City of Bonn. They were last amended in 2016. Some regulations have now been adapted to current times.
In doing so, the administration has used the model house and bathing regulations of the German Bathing Society as a guide. The new house and bathing regulations stipulate, among other things, that all bathers can swim "topless" in Bonn's pools.
An extended smoking ban in the outdoor pools has also been included. Previously, smoking was only prohibited in rooms and around pools. With the new edition, it will also be extended to the lawns between the pools, the waiting area and the area around the kiosk. Smoking areas should be set up in such a way that they do not cause a nuisance to staff or other bathers. Smoking was already prohibited in the indoor pools.
The new regulations will apply to all indoor and outdoor pools in Bonn from Thursday, June 15, 2023.
