Together with the cycle routes developed in this project, the mobile stations, which are designed as transportation hubs and equipped with an environmentally friendly range of services, are intended to help reduce CO2 emissions.
The campaign advertises four services that can be used at or around the mobile stations: secure parking of your own bike in one of the lockable bike boxes, renting an e-cargo bike to transport almost anything that fits in the trunk of a small car, transferring to and from buses and trains and using car sharing as a flexible alternative to your own car.
The pictures show people who live in Bonn and already make use of the environmentally friendly mobility options. With the words "I am city clear", they want to motivate other people to do the same. The four campaign motifs will be displayed on the city's city screens and STRÖER's information screens in Bonn for two weeks.
Depending on their location, the 30 mobile stations that have now been completed feature various equipment elements that also reflect the campaign. The project will culminate in the construction of four further large mobile stations, at which automatic bicycle parking systems will be installed. Completion is expected in December of this year.
"Emission-free city center" is a joint project of the City of Bonn and Stadtwerke Bonn. The European Regional Development Fund and the NRW Ministry of Economic Affairs are supporting this project.
