What features will "my" mobile station have?
The mobile stations have different features depending on their location. The locations of the mobile stations are marked on the map, which can be found here. If you click on one of the locations, you can see which features the mobile station already has. As soon as more are added, they will be added to the map.

When will the mobile stations be ready?
The mobile stations are built in various construction phases. First, bicycle canopies and bike racks are installed and air pumps are set up. The other components, such as the car charging stations, bike boxes, charging lockers and fully automatic bike parking garages, will follow gradually. At the end of the construction phase, signage and information pillars will be installed. The majority of the mobile stations were completed in December 2022, and the last mobile stations planned in this project will be installed by June 2023. The construction of bicycle parking garages and automatic bicycle parking systems is planned by the end of 2023.
What equipment features are available?
There are so-called bicycle boxes at three locations. These are lockable lockers, some of which have charging facilities for e-bikes. There are also special charging lockers for bike batteries only at three other locations. Bike racks (some of which are covered) and air pumps are provided at all mobile stations.
Other features include e-cargo bikes that can be hired, charging stations for e-cars and car-sharing locations. Bicycles and e-scooters can also be hired at some mobile stations. Bicycle parking garages or automatic bicycle parking systems with secure parking facilities for a large number of bicycles are to be built at four further locations.
How can I book the individual offers of the mobile stations?
Use of the bicycle parking spaces and air pumps is free of charge. Bike boxes can be booked via the operating terminal on site or - like the rental bikes from Nextbike and the e-scooters from the provider TIER - via the BONNmobil app (opens in a new tab). E-cargo bikes can initially only be rented via the Nextbike app (opens in a new tab).
Am I making a contribution to the environment by using the mobile stations?
In order to reduce greenhouse gases and counter the climate crisis, the city of Bonn has presented a concept to strengthen emission-free mobility in the urban area with the "Emission-free city center" project. This is being implemented by interlinking modes of transport, a comprehensive range of mobile stations and the expansion of the bicycle infrastructure. By switching to bicycles and other environmentally friendly means of transport, each individual is making a major contribution to the environment and helping to achieve Bonn's climate protection goals.
