"I am delighted that the City Council has followed our proposal. In Rachid Jaghou, we have found a highly ambitious expert in the field of real estate in the public sector. He will manage the SGB well and successfully implement the construction projects ahead of us," emphasized Mayor of Bonn Katja Dörner.
Rachid Jaghou himself commented on his new role: "I am looking forward to tackling the challenges in Bonn and actively helping to shape the further development of the city's building management."
Rachid Jaghou (43) will move from Krefeld to Bonn. Since 2017, he has been the sole operations manager of the City of Krefeld's central facility management with around 200 employees, 1,000 buildings and a budget of around 200 million euros per year.
The team at Städtisches Gebäudemanagement Bonn consists of more than 500 dedicated employees with extensive experience in the fields of architecture, engineering, facility management, administration and sustainability. The central tasks of SGB are the maintenance, planning and construction of municipal properties in the City of Bonn. This currently includes 456 properties with a total of 872 buildings.
