Description
Bonn should be a city worth living in for everyone: With safe traffic routes, especially for children and the elderly, clean air and less noise as well as an attractive range of environmentally friendly means of transportation.
A strategy is needed to achieve this major goal. A strategy describes the way to achieve a goal.
The Mobility Transition Program Office was set up in December 2021 to (further) develop the city of Bonn's mobility strategy. The program office works across departments and groups on the topic of the mobility transition. In addition to the Planning and Civil Engineering Office, this includes, for example, the Citizens' Services with the Road Traffic Authority, but also the Economic Development Department, the Office for the Environment and Urban Greenery and Stadtwerke Bonn.
As the office of the Mobility Transition Steering Committee, the programme office develops and coordinates the process for prioritizing mobility transition projects in Bonn.
The program office also develops the internal and external communication strategy for the mobility transition in cooperation with the Office for Press, Protocol and Public Relations as well as the specialist departments and external agencies. It develops the umbrella brand for the mobility transition and supports the design of communication measures and events on the mobility transition.
