The main tasks include the purchase and sale of land, the acquisition of land to round off existing properties, the exercise of municipal pre-emption rights, the tendering of land as part of investor projects, the establishment and contractual processing of heritable building rights as well as the examination and implementation of all ownership issues for municipal land (e.g. pipeline and road rights of way, deletion permits, etc.). Development measures, i.e. the development and marketing of properties in the former federal district, are also assigned to the Property Transactions department.
