Building regulations office

Description

The Building Regulations Office of the City of Bonn performs the tasks of the Lower Building Supervisory Authority in accordance with the North Rhine-Westphalia Building Regulations.

Our tasks include the examination of building applications and preliminary building inquiries as well as monitoring the proper execution of building structures.

We also take the necessary measures to avert risks under building law.

We also carry out recurring inspections for certain properties, approve special events and inspect Fliegende Bauten.

In addition to this legal mandate, the Building Regulations Office also sees itself as a service provider. In our free "Building information for citizens" (see under "Services and management"), we answer general questions about building law and provide you with information about the documents and steps required for your planned project.

We are also your first point of contact for questions regarding secured development as well as questions regarding the financing of urban development measures through the levying of development, road improvement, sewer connection and cost reimbursement contributions.

We also provide information from the register of building encumbrances and information on the contribution status with regard to outstanding or already paid development, road improvement, sewer connection and cost reimbursement contributions for a property.

At the same time, we help with questions relating to the topics "Dedication and confiscation of streets and street naming".

Further information on the tasks and topics of the Building Regulations Office can be found under "Service Bauen" (see under "Offer").
