Marketing and contact point for the Bonn science region

The Bonn science region is characterized by the excellence of its university and colleges, its numerous international research institutions and the important national institutions of science policy and administration. The further development of cooperation with industry, international cooperation institutions, federal institutions and culture are key future tasks for the Bonn region.

In the course of the expansion of the science region, science marketing was initiated in 1996 by the Bonn-Berlin Compensation. Marketing is basically organized as a partnership and is carried out by the municipal side in cooperation with the science and research institutions. It is anchored in the three economic development agencies of the city of Bonn, the Rhein-Sieg district and the Ahrweiler district, which cooperate very closely. Key partners on the scientific side are the offices for transfer and public relations. The main objectives of the activities are image building and communication of the potential both internally and externally, the promotion and development of cooperation and networks between science and industry and the initiation of joint events for various target groups. Depending on the issue, the offers and tasks are carried out at municipal level, at the regional level of the Bonn science region or at other regional levels.
