Anyone who lives, studies, works, attends a club or goes to school in Bonn can take part.

As climate change can only be influenced together, participation takes place in teams. A team can consist of as few as two people and can be made up of family members, friends, colleagues, fellow students, classmates or club members, for example. Individuals can join the "Open Team - Bonn" and collect kilometers together.

The teams are coordinated by a team captain. Spontaneously formed teams can still register after the start of the campaign.

All participants register once for the CITY CYCLING with their e-mail address and name. If you were already registered last year, you can use your old login details.

You can only register as a team member if your team has already been registered by the team captain. You may only register in one team. If you do not belong to a team, you can join the "Open Team - Bonn".

Team registration: Team captains register their team online with the team name they have chosen themselves. To do this, first select "Bonn" as the city, then an extra field appears for the individual name of the team. Team captains can also use their account to manage cyclists who do not have internet access. Under "Settings" in the cycling calendar, you can enter the number of people you want to manage via your user account. This means that school classes or families can also manage their kilometers together.

Every kilometer cycled for work, leisure or on vacation can be counted. Only cycling competitions are excluded from the recording. A route planner is integrated into the cycling calendar, which calculates the kilometers ridden after entering the start and destination. There are various ways to record the kilometers covered.

The results of the teams and the city as a whole will be published at   www.stadtradeln.de (opens in a new tab). The performance of the individual cyclists is not shown on the Internet. All kilometers cycled should be entered daily in the online cycling calendar so that teams and municipalities can be compared.

The deadline for entering the kilometers cycled is seven days after the end of the campaign in Bonn.

As the captain, you are the "driving force" of your cycling team and are there to help and advise your team members.

You register your team once for the online cycling calendar. During the campaign period, you enter the kilometers cycled online daily or weekly by those team members who do not have Internet access.

You present your team with a short text and picture on  www.stadtradeln.de (opens in a new tab). You are also the contact person for the CITY CYCLING coordination office and forward all current information (interim status of kilometers cycled so far) to your team.

If possible, you and your team will report on your CITY CYCLING experiences in social networks. Of course, you can also film a tour or your team in action and publish the videos on YouTube.

The city of Bonn invites all schools to take part in the "Schulradeln NRW" competition.

The school cycling competition complements the CITY CYCLING campaign and takes place during the same campaign period. The aim is to find the school with the most cyclists and the most kilometers.

All kilometers cycled for the school, whether individually, in class, in teacher or student teams, are included in the school ranking. This allows schools to compare themselves across the country.

All participating schools receive a certificate with the total number of kilometers cycled. At the same time, the results of the Bonn schools are included in the ranking of the other local teams in the city.

The ADFC Bonn/Rhein-Sieg supports the STADTRADELN in Bonn. During the campaign period, participation in all ADFC tours is free of charge.
