The rescue service consists of emergency rescue, emergency medical service and patient transport. The fees for the use of the rescue service are calculated as flat-rate fees for the individual partial services, which are based on the provision of rapid assistance at any time and in any place in the city of Bonn.
In principle, the person who has used or requested the services of the rescue service or on whose behalf the rescue service was requested (fee debtor) is obliged to pay the fee. The City of Bonn endeavors to settle fee claims against persons with statutory health insurance directly with the responsible health insurance company and only approaches the fee debtor directly in cases where health insurance companies generally refuse to cover the costs.
