Help with addiction

People who are dependent on alcohol, medication or illegal addictive substances often experience serious consequences as a result of their illness: Social relationships, including family ties, can be significantly impaired or even break down, jobs can be at risk or lost, and it is not uncommon for people to lose their homes. In addition, there are often accompanying and secondary physical illnesses.

Addiction treatment

The task of addiction support is to offer people suffering from addiction individual help so that they can find their way back to a life independent of addiction as far as possible.

The Office for Social Affairs and Housing supports numerous addiction support services offered by Bonn organizations.

The local addiction support services currently include

  • Outpatient addiction counseling
  • Placement in inpatient addiction treatment
  • substitution
  • Diamorphine outpatient clinic
  • Drug therapy outpatient clinic (DTA)

In addition, psychosocial support - for example in the case of substitution treatment - is funded as integration assistance if the requirements of the Social Code - SGB XII or SGB II - are met.
