Practicing the way to school with little ones at an early age
Even as kindergarten children, i-Dötzchen should get to know their future route to school. The city of Bonn recommends that parents start training at an early age so that the usually longer journey to school does not involve too many hurdles. This should also be continued in the first weeks and months of the new school year.
Mothers and fathers will quickly recognize where their child is unsure and may make mistakes, or where danger spots lurk. Due to their height, six-year-old children are not yet able to recognize the traffic situation over parked cars. Children are also usually not yet able to correctly assess the speed of approaching cars.
In addition, girls and boys are rarely able to concentrate fully on crossing a road. It is precisely the many new impressions and experiences that often make the potential sources of danger on the way to school fade into the background for them.
