The fourth stage noise action plan shows how the noise situation has developed in the urban area and what measures the city is planning to improve the situation for those affected. The administration will implement the plan within its financial and technical capabilities.

The council will later decide on the financing and implementation of individual measures within the city's area of responsibility. However, some measures are also the responsibility of other bodies. This is why the city is appealing to Deutsche Bahn and Autobahn GmbH, for example, to carry out noise protection on federal highways and railroads in Bonn.

The city regularly updates the noise action plan - this is its fourth version. In 2027, it will review the situation again and update the plan. The people of Bonn were also able to get involved in this round in various ways, for example online on the  www.bonn-macht-mit.de (opens in a new tab) platform. The city is thus fulfilling the requirements of the European Union.
