The existing sewers will be renovated using both the open trench method and the "inliner renovation" method, i.e. a closed trench method in which a hose is inserted into the existing sewer. Once the sewer work has been completed, the construction road for the subsequent steps will be created.
The preparation of the entire baths for the construction site is planned for June. This is when the remediation work is due to begin. The pollutants, such as asbestos, will be removed and the bathroom gutted. These are contained, for example, in the plaster, joint fillers, floor sealants and paints used at the time of construction. Demolition work will also be carried out on components that are not contaminated. The city administration will provide information on the further progress of the work.
