The municipal youth center "das flax" in Bonn-Beuel is being realigned: With a digital focus, it is to become an innovative meeting place for young people in Bonn - a place for creativity, technology and digital media. To ensure that the future offerings meet the interests of young people, the city of Bonn is organizing a participation workshop on Tuesday, 15 April 2025, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at "flax" at Ringstraße 68.

The workshop at the beginning of the Easter vacations will be moderated by experienced media educators from the Fachstelle für Jugendmedienkultur in Cologne. Up to 25 young people between the ages of 12 and 18 will have the opportunity to contribute their ideas and wishes for a modern youth center. Together, they will work out which digital topics are currently relevant and which priorities should be set for the future. Possible areas include gaming, social media, video and audio production, programming, making (digital creative invention) and e-sports.

The results of the workshop will form the basis for the future design of the youth center. Participation is a unique opportunity to play an active role in shaping leisure activities for young people in the city.
