The Civil Engineering Department of the City of Bonn did not receive an economically viable offer in response to the tender for the project. The tender will therefore be canceled and a new tender will be issued. The city administration hopes to start construction in summer 2025.

With this construction project, the city of Bonn will redesign and modernize the Belderberg road underpass to make it barrier-free for pedestrians and cyclists. This measure will create a better connection between the city center and the banks of the Rhine.
