Rolling advertising for SWB

Bus driver, IT administrator, project manager, car mechatronics technician... all different professions. But what do they have in common? That's right, the employer! Because Stadtwerke Bonn (SWB) unites these jobs under one roof. Around 2,700 people have already decided to work for the public utility company and more are welcome. SWB is now advertising this with a special bus.

This is a press release from Stadtwerke Bonn

Career course on your doorstep

The newly designed bus is as colorful and diverse as SWB itself. Bright and eye-catching, it drives through the city as a mobile billboard and once again brings Stadtwerke to the attention of Bonn residents as an attractive employer. "We want to reach people where they are in their everyday lives. This could be on the way to school or university or on the way home from shopping. To cover as many of these potential locations as possible, a bus that travels through Bonn and the surrounding area is perfect," says Saskia Förster, Head of Human Resources.

Anyone who has already spotted it on the street may have a sense of déjà vu. After all, many people will be familiar with the design from the digital job advertisements on SWB buses and trains and from the  SWB careers website (opens in a new tab). For all those who are not yet familiar with the latter, we have made provisions. Large QR codes next to inviting slogans lead you there. Simply scan them with your smartphone and the most important career information and current job and training vacancies appear at a glance.

"In the future, we would of course also like to use the bus for targeted recruiting campaigns, where interested parties can find out about career options at SWB in the vehicle itself. Until the concept is finalized, the bus will run regularly on scheduled services," explains Saskia Förster.

Something for everyone

There are currently 66 vacancies for skilled workers and six apprenticeships still open for 2025.

"We offer a wide range of fields and levels of activity. From commercial to industrial/technical, from trainee to manager, from internships to traineeships to full-time or part-time positions, everything is on offer," advertises the HR manager.

In addition to various work and employment opportunities, Bonn Klimawerke also offers attractive benefits: Pay according to the collective wage agreement, 30 days' vacation, company pension scheme, discounted public transport tickets, individual training opportunities, a wide range of sports activities, family friendliness - to name just a few.

Förster also emphasizes the future security at Stadtwerke: "We are adapting to the current challenges and are increasingly focusing on job profiles that are indispensable for the climate transition. These include specialists in energy technology, district heating and power supply. These are already very important for us."

Anyone who is still unsure can simply see for themselves. In numerous videos, SWB employees talk about their jobs and provide insights into the various job profiles.

Seize opportunities on careers day

If videos aren't enough, you should make a note of the Bonn Careers Day on March 20 at the Telekom Dome. As one of the largest employers in the federal city, Stadtwerke will of course be there.

"The careers day offers interested parties the opportunity to talk to HR managers and specialists in person and find out about vacancies with us. But it is also a very good opportunity to get a first impression of SWB as a potential employer. We are happy to carry out application checks on site and provide useful tips," says Förster.
