The state of NRW strengthens the Deutsches Museum Bonn as the AI Forum of North Rhine-Westphalia

The Ministry of Regional Identity, Communities and Local Government, Building and Digitalization of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia has announced that NRW will be expanding its cooperation with the Deutsches Museum Bonn from 2025. This will give the Bonn branch of the Munich exhibition center a long-term perspective for the location.

The Deutsches Museum Bonn is currently undergoing a fundamental change process to become a forum for artificial intelligence and has an internationally unique selling point with this thematic focus. To further expand this position, the state is funding the "KI Forum Nordrhein-Westfalen" at the Deutsches Museum Bonn with two million euros a year.

Mayor Katja Dörner welcomes the state's decision: "I am very grateful to the state of North Rhine-Westphalia for this further support. It will enable the Deutsches Museum Bonn to expand its successful educational and outreach work on artificial intelligence with new offerings. I am very pleased that the Deutsches Museum Bonn is thus gaining a long-term perspective in the region. As a city, we will also continue to make our agreed contribution and have once again earmarked 460,000 euros annually for the Deutsches Museum in the upcoming budget."
