Bonn School Museum: Learning like 100 years ago

The school museum in the Nikolausschule in Bonn-Kessenich has been part of the Bonn City Museum since 2017 and is therefore part of the Center for City History and Cultures of Remembrance.

It was founded back in 1986 by a group of dedicated Bonn teachers. The historical furniture and objects come from schools in Bonn as well as from schools in Selfkant and the district of Euskirchen. A classroom from around 1900 was arranged from the exhibits. Schoolchildren are given the opportunity to experience lessons as they did in the imperial era.

The school museum is sponsored by the Cologne district government, the Bonn education authority and supported by the Bonn City Museum Association.
