BOS object radio systems

Overview

Adequate radio coverage for the fire and rescue services is required in buildings and structures (buildings) in order to carry out effective rescue and firefighting operations and to safeguard the emergency services.

To ensure this radio coverage, the building regulations of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia stipulate, among other things, that special requirements to ensure adequate fire protection can be imposed as part of the building permit procedure for structures and in rooms of a special type or use.

This also includes proof of sufficient radio coverage or the installation of a BOS object radio system.

BOS fixed radio systems are stationary radio equipment for ensuring communication in buildings and in the immediate vicinity of buildings for the emergency services of authorities and organizations with security tasks.
