The City of Bonn offers individual developed and undeveloped plots of land for the construction of residential buildings or commercial space for purchase or by granting a heritable building right. When selling for residential purposes, it pursues both urban development and social policy objectives, which also include promoting family ownership. For larger areas, the Bonn building land model will soon apply.
In addition, private land is also acquired as part of urban expansion measures or to realize public interests.
