The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) is a UN specialized agency that promotes and accelerates inclusive and sustainable industrial development to end absolute poverty.

UNIDO's overarching vision is to ensure sustained economic growth, long-term jobs and income. Investment promotion and the exchange of sustainable technologies are signposts in these efforts. The office in Bonn works together with nine other offices in the international UNIDO network to provide companies in developing countries with access to investment and technology. At the same time, it helps investors and technology suppliers worldwide to find potential partners.
