SOLWODI campaigns for the rights of women who are affected or threatened by human trafficking/forced prostitution, forced marriage, honor killings or other forms of violence. In addition to immediate emergency assistance, specialist advice, psychosocial support and measures to promote integration, the organization also offers anonymous shelter in its own shelters. A separate returnee project offers women support in returning to their home country and initial help on the way to an independent life.

SOLWODI attaches great importance to education and prevention: public relations work, school projects and further training for multipliers ensure that the necessary awareness is raised both nationally and internationally. Modern slave trade takes place everywhere - over 80 percent of those affected are women and girls, mostly trafficked for the purpose of sexual exploitation.

SOLWODI is represented internationally in Kenya, Rwanda, Romania and Austria.
