Under the motto: "17 days for the 17 global sustainability goals", the Bonn SDG Days 2025 will once again bring the 17 Sustainable Development Goals ( SDGs ) of the United Nations to the city from September 19 to October 6.

All active participants are cordially invited to bring their commitment to the SDGs to the public and take part in the program. Ideas, interest, event and action offers are welcome. We are happy to provide advice and support with planning. Program proposals that are already ready can be submitted via this registration formPDF-File280,94 kB by 11 July.

And if you are still looking for financial support to realize projects - perhaps an application for funding from the funds that the Bonn City Council allocates each year for development education work and local implementation of Agenda 2030 is an option.

Throughout the campaign period, there will once again be a 17-goal zone in Friedrichstraße. In cooperation with the One World Regional Promoter for Bonn and southern NRW, Vanessa Püllen, and the Bonn Network for Development, activities and impulses are planned there under the motto "Bonn has #sustainability on the screen". The #ZeroHungerRun is an integral part of the Bonn SDG Days. In 2024, more than 3,500 participants took to the starting line for the United Nations' second Sustainable Development Goal - Zero Hunger by 2030.

Under the motto "BonnFest meets Bonn SDG Days", there was a public fair breakfast with music on Saturday, September 28, with the 17 Goals Sustainability Stage on the market at the Bonn Festival. It was enthusiastically received. The food on offer came from fair trade or regional, organic production and had been donated by companies from Bonn and the surrounding area.

With a varied stage program, the Office for International Affairs and Global Sustainability of the City of Bonn also presented successful Bonn sustainability initiatives, such as the BONNI & BO climate driving license. It also brought the City of Bonn's sustainability partnerships with La Paz in Bolivia, Cape Coast in Ghana and the solidarity partnership with the Ukrainian city of Kherson to life with cultural contributions.

With music, an SDG wheel of fortune and surprise activities for the Brazilian "Abraco", the next high-profile campaign followed on October 5 in the 17-goal zone on Friedrichstrasse. Throughout the campaign period, the popular symbolic umbrella in the SDG colors, lantern banners for each sustainability goal and other offers invited people to open their eyes to the many fair, sustainable offers that are available in Bonn and to take advantage of them. The stores and cafés used posters to draw attention to their sustainability offers. The Bonn Network for Development kicked off the Bonn SDG Days 2024 with a day of action in and around the 17 Goals Zone on Friedrichstraße.

Free SDG workshop offer for schools

For the first time in 2024, there was a wide range of free SDG workshops for schools, which also included guided tours of the city center and the 17 Goals Zone. It was organized by the One World Regional Promoter for the Bonn/southern NRW region in cooperation with the education programme "Education meets Development" and was funded by the City of Bonn.

Together with the city of Bonn, Welthungerhilfe called on young and old to join many others in the Rheinaue on Sunday, September 22, to get moving for a world without hunger.
